今天早上收到一位同学发来的不知他是从哪个中文网页上面看到的一篇非常感人的“新闻”（对我来说是新闻，因为以前根本不知道曾经发生过这件事情），内容大意是2015年泰国举办的一次选美比赛（Miss
Uncensored News 2015）冠军获得者卡妮妲小姐（（Khanittha“Mint” Pasaeng）），获奖之后回到家乡在大街上看到自己的母亲还在捡垃圾，于是情不自禁地当众下跪感谢自己的母亲多年来的养育之恩。
中文介绍说：十七岁的坎妮塔出生在泰国北榄府一个贫困家庭，由单亲妈妈靠拾荒抚育成人。因家境贫苦，为减轻妈妈的负担，她高中毕业就没再继续读大学。她到处打工、帮妈妈捡垃圾、整理回收以维持家计，并帮忙照顾家中的小弟弟。一次偶然的机会，坎妮塔参加了泰国选美比赛，意外地赢得冠军。
她夺得后冠后，做的第一件事就是跑回家乡，想赶快告诉妈妈这个天上掉下来的大礼物。坎妮塔戴着闪亮的后冠、穿着高跟鞋，回到了家乡，在肮脏的垃圾箱附近找到了母亲。她一见到母亲，马上当街跪下，感谢母亲扶养之恩。这幅美丽的感恩画面被拍了下来，流传在网路上，也深深打动了人们的心。……她说自己从未对妈妈捡垃圾的工作感到羞耻，而是心里充满感恩之情：“我今天有这样的成就都是因为我母亲。我们都靠诚实工作谋生，所以没有任何理由让我感到自卑。”
这个在贫寒家境中长大的女孩，并没有怨天尤人，却是充满笑容、乐观开朗、有着无比的孝心和感恩之心。因为她的天生丽质和甜美笑容，朋友鼓励她参加泰国的选美比赛。但由于她的成长背景，登上众星云集的华丽T台已是难以想像，更不用说赢得比赛了。正因为没想到要得名次，她带着平和的心态和贯有的微笑，从容优雅地走上了T台。她的清新自然和特有的气质吸引了评审的目光，终于在过关斩将中，一路进了决赛，最后，出乎意料地获得了后冠。坎妮塔说：“当裁判宣布获胜者时，感觉就像是一场梦。我想像不到像我这样的普通女孩怎么能成为选美皇后呢？”“我今天所有的成就都归功于我母亲的辛勤工作。”
美丽的“薄荷”获得后冠后，得到了广告、电影和电视相关工作，她希望可以借此改善家计。但妈妈并不要她帮忙，“薄荷”说：“我们家还是会继续以拾荒为生，我母亲还是会继续去捡垃圾、做垃圾分类。她不愿意让我帮她。”坎妮塔的故事在全国流传着，受到大家的赞赏。有更多来自贫困家庭的人赞美她不仅美丽，而且坚强、尽责、孝顺，因为这位蜕变的灰姑娘，除了在华丽的聚光灯下工作外，回家还继续帮妈妈做垃圾分类。
读完这篇四年前的中文“新闻”，我又用英文查询一下，发现这位卡妮妲小姐的经历还是很有一些“传奇”色彩的。现在先看一篇来自英文的“正能量”新闻：

For
many Asian's the highest form of respect is to kneel, no matter what the
situation. （对很多亚洲人来说，不论在什么情况下想要表达自己的最大敬意的方式就是跪下。）
And
according to DramaFever News Mint never felt ashamed: 'What I
have today is because of my mother. She and I make a living by doing honest
work, so there is no reason why I should feel inferior.' （卡妮妲从来没有感到尴尬，“我今天取得的一切都是因为我的母亲，我们以诚实地工作谋生，也没有任何理由让我感到自卑。”）
She
maintains and optimistic outlook on life, continuing to help her family by
working on many menial jobs, and assisting her mother

The
family grew up in complete poverty, so much so they could not afford to send
the beauty queen to college after she graduated from high school. （由于家境非常贫穷，卡妮妲小姐高中毕业之后没有继续就读大学。）
The
People's Daily Online reports that many people from impoverished backgrounds
are saying she is not only beautiful but strong and

整篇英文新闻读完，感觉内容和中文新闻一样，可是谁也没有想到仅仅一天之后，另一篇标准的“负能量”新闻就出现在人们面前：

organisers discovered she had "lied" about her educational

On the application form, it was written that Khanittha had passed Mathayom 6 (Level 12), a lie organisers only discovered when a university contacted them to offer the 17-year-old a scholarship. In reality, she had only passed Mathayom 3.（事实上，她只通过了第三级，而她提交的表格上面却介绍自己通过了第六级）
She then moved to live with an aunt because of crowded conditions at home. （由于家庭环境拥挤，于是她搬到一位姑妈家里生活）
She was then adopted by “Know”, a salon owner who sent her to school until she completed Mathayom 3. （她还被一位沙龙的主人收养和供她上学，直到她通过第三级考试）
Know claimed that a committee member called to say that the prize money of 30,000 baht would be taken back because of the misinformation on Khanittha’s education background in the application.（这位收养人还说有一位大赛委员曾来电告诉他，因为卡妮妲小姐提供的教育背景有虚假陈述，将会考虑收回她的三万元泰铢奖金）
But on Tuesday, it was reported by Bangkok Coconuts that the beauty queen begged the committee not to strip her of her crown through the media, as she had already passed on the prize money to her family.（来自曼谷的新闻说，卡妮妲小姐恳求组委会不要在媒体上公开取消她的桂冠，她的奖金也已经给了家人）
Khanittha also apologised to contest organiser Somchai Leknoi on Thursday, stating that she had no intention of lying, having failed to check the application which was filled in by her uncle.（卡妮妲小姐还向大赛组织者道歉说自己并没有故意撒谎，那份申请表是她的姑父填写的，她自己并没有亲自检查过。）

读完这三篇新闻稿，我的个人观感如下：
1.看到美丽的卡妮妲小姐戴着闪光的桂冠，穿着鲜艳的饰带，在大街上的垃圾桶旁边跪在自己的以捡垃圾为生的母亲面前，我的第一感觉就是：摆拍。因为在日常生活中，极少有人会穿着学位服回到自己的家乡当众跪拜自己的父母和感谢自己的恩师。
2.只要是用中文（汉字、汉语）报道的在外国发生的人物或事件，为了真实起见，一定要仔细查询英文世界里面的新闻消息，否则很有可能会让自己出现误判。
3.诚实地生活在这个世界上，其实需要很高的智慧和很大的勇气，特别是在某些以造假、忽悠、撒谎和骗人为个人的能耐、为处世的本领、为人生的成功的社会里面，一个人坚持诚实地生活毫无疑问会为自己带来暂时地被嘲笑和被失败。但是有一点不可否认，所有的那些坚持诚实生活的人们，都能为自己的内心世界带来坦然平静和没有遗憾，这种珍贵的心态非常重要，特别是在自己步履蹒跚的晚年之时、重病缠身的痛苦之中或奄奄一息的临终之前。
因此对于卡妮妲小姐在大街上当众感谢自己以捡垃圾为生的母亲的这一幕，我还是给予衷心地赞叹和尊重。
